Ryan and Jenny Penley
Ryan is the Cru director at Maryland. Ryan and
Jenny have been on staff with Cru for 9 years, the
first two of which were spent in Melbourne, Australia.
They are the parents of those four crazy kids pictured
above: Caleb, Eliana, Asher and Rowan. Our
entire family loves working with college students.

Julia Winters
Julia graduated from Maryland in 2006 and went on
STINT to Melbourne Australia for two years. In 2009 she joined staff to come back to
her alma-mater. Julia loves to travel, play sports, and attend Maryland Basketball
games! She likes getting together with friends for movie nights and game
nights. She is excited to be on staff at Maryland.

Stephen and Genevieve Hunt
Stephen is in his second year on staff at UMD and is
married to Genevieve, who works as a nurse at
Children’s Hospital in DC. They are both graduates of
JMU. The night they met, Genevieve sold Stephen out
and caused him to lose in a game, and Stephen tried
and failed to facebook stalk her. They still enjoy
group games and they are
now facebook friends.

Sarah Berkey
Sarah graduated from the University of Maryland in May
and joined staff as an intern in August. While
in school she majored in Psychology and Government and
Politics. She is from Crownsville, MD near
Annapolis and some of her favorite activities take
place on the water. She loves boating, skiing,
and crabbing. She’s so excited to be on staff
this year!

Brian Hearn
Brian is a first-year intern with Maryland Cru. He
is a recent Spring 2011 graduateof the University of
Maryland and is excited
to return to his alma-mater. Brian
loves the University of Maryland, sports (Go Ravens
and O's!), and people. He's also a fan of shimmying.
